Earlier this year, we became DANTE Level 2 Certified engineers. This means that using our Yamaha TF5 desk, we have the capability and skills to record high quality uncompressed recordings of live events, or create networks to broadcast audio to multiple different sources at once. If you are looking to capture a multitrack recording of a live band performance or to record/broadcast a stream of audio from a conference to multiple different rooms then DANTE technology is a viable and reliable solution.
DANTE stands for Digital Audio Networking Through Ethernet, and it is a method of sending uncompressed multitrack audio from multiple sources to multiple sources with near-zero latency via an ethernet connection. It can be adapted to use either unicast or multicast technology depending on the application in order to make best use of the available bandwidth. Many DANTE enabled devices support ‘Glitch-Free’ redundancy which allows for a secondary network to be provided. This means that if the physical connection of the primary network is disrupted, the audio stream will continue uninterrupted on the secondary network, resulting in no loss or interruption of audio.
For recording solutions, we record into Logic Pro X. We can provide the Logic file, the stems or a bounced WAV or MP3 file depending on your preference. We can also provide a professional mix of your live recording.
For broadcasting solutions, we can link up with other DANTE enabled devices so that multiple devices can send and receive audio in different locations. To find out more about DANTE technology or how it can be of use to you, please get in touch.
